Guess
what? It's that time of year where we put down the pastries and pizza,
dust off the running shoes and launch another hugely successful San Francisco Track & Field Club season! We're thrilled to announce that our first practice is officially set to begin on Sunday, Jan. 22nd at 10AM on the campus of SFSU. Please arrive 5-10 mins early and help us welcome our newcomers who have decided to come see what SFT&FC
is all about. If you haven't already, please remember to invite any
friends, family, co-workers, gym buddies, neighbors, or that hot guy/gal
you always see running in the city that you've been dying to talk to. Everyone from all fitness levels and athletic, or non-athletic, backgrounds are welcome!
If you are receiving this message and have never attended a
track & field practice session, this is the perfect day to attend
and begin working on your goals....a new year, a new you! Practice
begins promptly at 10AM with team warm-ups and drills. We'll
then break-off into our respective event-specific training (sprint
intervals, long distance repeats and any field eventers ready to start
throwing) lead by our veteran members. Trust me, the early part of any
new season starts with light intervals/light loads and focuses on
fitness and conditioning rather than speed. Practices never last longer
than 12noon and a large contingent usually meets for brunch following.

forget to join our Google Groups email list, or our facebook page. Both

2012 is an incredibly special year for us as we celebrate our
30th Anniversary. We look forward to having you all join us this
season and help make 2012 our most unforgettable and most active seasons
ever! And to our SF FrontRunners community and new BFF's, our hope is
that you'll bring your running talents to the track and helps us form thee most deep-rooted, successful and enduring LGBT track & field teams in the country.
As always, please let me know if you have any questions.
Unless it rains, we look forward to seeing you all out there on the
22nd! So, are you in?!
Warmest regards, Aaron Castillo SFT&FC Membership/Communications Director |
